Any evidence for dry needling radial nerve palsy/wrist drop?
Hi Krista,
There isnt' a specific study on that topic except one on Radial tunnel syndrome that showed benefit of dN. The result also depends on the cause of the palsy ile. significant compression with nerve damage versus entrapment that can be changed. I would assess the entire nerve distibution including cervical looking for compressions and entrapments areas and address those with DN. I would add ENS to the positive findings and check the ulnar and Median nerves to make sure the tone is normalized on the opposite side.
