Gopi,

Dry needling has minimal effect on lymphedema based on the mechanism of dry needling so would not say it would make a big difference there but from a neuropathy stand point it would depend on the amount of damage to the nerve.  Physiologically needling peri-neurally brings in the immunoendocrine system, blood flow, local and descending endogenous pain relief so if that is the goal it can work if the goal is to reduce edema - it is unlikely to make a difference.  Also be careful that the patient has lymph nodes present as if all the nodes were removed in the case of some CA surgeries I would not needle at all.
